Tim Delahunt Coauthors Book

March 30, 2011

The American Bar Association’s new book, “Construction Insurance: A Guide For Attorneys and Other Professionals,” features Tim Delahunt as coeditor and chapter coauthor.

Tim Delahunt, partner in the KSLN Coverage Group, is one of four editors of the ABA’s upcoming book, Construction Insurance: A Guide for Attorneys and Other Professionals. Tim is also a chapter co-author. The book will be published in April 2011 and is now available for purchase through the ABA’s website, as well as other outlets. This work represents the ABA’s first comprehensive examination of insurance law as it applies specifically in the construction context. It addresses claims and coverages for construction losses under CGL policies, builder’s risk, CCIP/OCIPs, performance bonds, pollution liability policies, professional liability policies, and other insurance and insurance-related products. The book also discusses approaches to purchasing insurance, structuring indemnification and insurance provisions in contracts, and the claims process. The ABA and the editors hope that this text will become the foremost resource of its kind for construction attorneys, insurance coverage attorneys, construction companies, and insurance claims professionals and brokers who deal with construction. Tim was selected for the project based on his specialization in construction insurance law in New York, which is perhaps the most challenging jurisdiction in the country with respect to insurance construction law due to the Labor Law and the scale of building, particularly in Downstate. Tim would be happy to discuss the book or any other related topics, and can be reached at TEDelahunt@kslnlaw.com.
