ATTORNEY PROFILE

As a managing partner, Jim is head of the firm’s Toxic Tort Litigation Practice Group, concentrating on the defense of toxic tort and mass tort claims. Jim has served as national and regional coordinating counsel in both state and federal courts throughout New York from the inception of lawsuits through discovery, trial and appeal, if necessary. His two decades’ worth of toxic tort litigation experience includes asbestos, chemical exposure, welding rod exposure and landfill exposures. His education in both law and electrical engineering make Jim uniquely qualified to handle litigation involving complex technical issues.

 

In the commercial and corporate areas, Jim handles a variety of matters involving contract claims, intellectual property disputes, business formations, acquisitions and mergers. Jim plays a role in our Construction Risk Management Practice, representing Property Management companies. He also represents individual clients and businesses in the areas of strategic planning, succession, risk management and alternative dispute resolution.

 

A travel and wine enthusiast, his “last meal” would be, “Steak and a good wine, with my family.” He shares his birthday with his favorite musician, Bruce Springsteen.
