James M. Strauss

Jim is very involved in a youth sports basketball program he runs and greatly enjoys coaching his sons in whatever organized sports they are playing. He lives in New York City with his wife and two children. He plays tennis regularly, golf irregularly and tries to remember to smell the roses every day.

Jim is a partner in the firm’s insurance coverage group and has extensive experience advising, counseling and representing national insurers in myriad complex insurance coverage matters both pre- and post-commencement of litigation. Jim brings a practical, cost-sensitive approach to litigation and over his career he has been involved in all aspects of the litigation process, from initial consultation and advice through the substantive motion, trial and appellate stages.

Jim also has experience handling commercial litigation matters  as well as trusts and estates litigation involving will contests and other trust- and estate-related litigation.  Jim practices principally in New York and New Jersey State and Federal Courts.
