When James is not at work chances are he is either working on projects around the house to complete the “vision” of his lovely wife, Abigale, or making a fool of himself to the delight of his two wonderful children, Penelope and Leo.

EXPERIENCE

At KSLN, Mr. Campisi’s practice is devoted to insurance coverage law and litigation. As a member of the firm’s Insurance Coverage Group, James handles issues and disputes under all types of coverages including commercial general liability, excess and umbrella policies, commercial auto, builders’ risk, first-party property, professional liability, and personal lines. James handles insurance litigation across New York State in the state and federal courts, including coverage actions arising from underlying Labor Law claims, particularly those in the challenging jurisdictions of the five boroughs of New York City. James also provides counseling for carriers on issues including duty to defend disputes, proprietary and standard exclusions, additional insured coverage claims and defenses, priority of coverage, and construction defect coverages and exclusions. Although based in KSLN’s Buffalo headquarters, James predominantly practices in New York City and Long Island.

 

Prior to joining KSLN’s Insurance Coverage Group, James counseled clients in financial services matters as outside counsel and as internal compliance for some of the largest banks in the world.

 

James was an Articles Editor for Buffalo Law Review and enjoyed a career in financial services before attending law school. James holds an MBA from Canisius College.
